While we dedicate ourselves to kitchen and bedroom projects of all sizes, every now and again we get the opportunity to work on larger scale transformations as we did in this house for our client in Angmering, West Sussex. This project included making room and wall changes to remodel and open up a large area of the ground floor with the addition of a new conservatory extension.
We began with building work to rip out the old kitchen, but also to remove a wall, add another, moving windows and doors and building a new conservatory to increase the space and really open up the side of the house to the gorgeous garden. A separate utility was created from half of the old kitchen area. Our fitters undertook the entire project including electrics and plastering and installing a new boiler and cylinder.
In this kitchen transformation we fitted a Mereway New Revival kitchen, far brighter than the dark wood cabinets of the kitchen before. Chalk white and grey units bring a cool element to the otherwise white design, and the Seimens and Samsung appliances make for an ultra modern feel.
We shifted the dining table down towards the light, and put a new island in its place, maximising space and keeping bang on trend with a breakfast bar built in. Neat features such as a wine cooler, a boiling water tap, and a pull out larder have been integrated seamlessly with this kitchen design – there’s even a rack for cook books! You’ll notice in the before and after photos in the gallery below that the kitchen window was moved to bring more light in over the sink, and make room for a TV over the island.
A utility room has also been incorporated, with a different approach from the kitchen. This room incorporated a Trend design, and shaker style cabinets. It also made extra room for a new boiler and cylinder. A new rear doorway was also added to this room, bringing a whole new dimension to the property.
In addition to the stunning new kitchen, a orangery style conservatory was added on to the existing building, which in turn made room for the larger kitchen. This extension brings light into the house, as well as a brand new living space for the family.
These next photos show off a fabulous project we have just completed in Climping. We moved the kitchen from the original part of the house into the lounger, and even created a walk-in pantry under the stairs.
